African Tenderness

These two gentle sweeties were so much fun to watch in the zoo, and just as much fun (and challenge) to paint.  Too, I used my artistic license to make it a sunset picture, so that I might use more fun colors than the drab daylight offered.   The grasses proved to be more of a challenge than did the giraffes themselves, but I am pleased with the overal turnout.  Some day, I hope that I can see these gentle creatures in their wild glory on the plains of Africa, but until then, I will have to make do with the zoos.  :)
