Catching the last rays

Catching the last rays was a fun challenge to do, and I have a little extra to add to the picture.  Adding in a turtle to this painting really made the picture, I think.  That's the nice thing about a painting, if I want a turtle in the lake on a log, I can certainly put it in!!  :)  This picture makes me really want to get up to the lake! but it needs to warm up a touch (the high today was supposed to be less than 50....!!!), so....  I will have to enjoy it from the canvas view until it's a little warmer!!  :)

I have a few fond memories of this lake, and am hoping to get a few more paintings from the area as well!  :)  who knows what I will see when I take my camera and my kids with me for the first time to visit!  :)
