Painting in Progress

A title for this one eludes me at the moment, but it sure is a fun one to do so far!!!  I needed to do something different, and painting a water/turtle scene seemed the right thing to do today!!!  this is two sessions so far, hour and a half or so for the first one, 45 for the second, top , above the long for the first, and the log on down for the second.  I do have the turtles blocked in, but I did that after this photo.

When I am standing up close and personal to the painting, I never really know just how it looks as a whole, because i see the individual parts that I have worked on.  Stepping back about 20 feet seems to do the trick, as far as letting my eyes see the whole picture.  There's plenty to do on this one yet.  the wood log certainly needs more work, and then of course, putting its reflection in, spreading the rocks toward the turtle that is in the water, adding i more reflections everywhere, and the obvious, finishing the turtles.  a couple more sessions and i may complete it.  the turtles are going to be quite detailed, so that session will be turtley-consumed with turtle detail.  :)  I can't wait, but I may not get to it tomorrow.....Here's to trying though!
