Horse at creek at sunset
That's a lame title, but that's all I have for now!! This was a fun challenge to do, because there's no direct light exactly. Perhaps just a touch of light, causing the trees to glisten a bit, and put some light on the horse. The painting needs a couple touchups and then it will be done as well. I just love adding water to a painting, although, sometimes, putting in a shadow/reflection of something upside down, which means, the underside of the animal, in this case, can be a bit challenging. so, sometimes, we just soften that a bit so it'snot so important in the painting. that seems to work here. I originally had a duck in the painting too, but that seemed too much.
You can tell I LOVE green, because so many of mine are summer, although fall is fun. Painting this when it's not all green out makes me feel at least like there's some green happening! This is the type of place I just love to sit and watch.....
This painting is 12x24, acrylic on canvas, of course! :)
